Education That Respects the Learner
Ledgerwise was established in Singapore to address a consistent gap — access to financial education that informs without selling, and teaches without condescending.

A Considered Approach to Financial Learning
Ledgerwise came together through conversations between a group of financial professionals and experienced educators who shared a common frustration: the financial education available in Singapore was either overly technical, commercially motivated, or pitched at a level that assumed too much prior knowledge.
What emerged was a straightforward mission — to build programmes that treat learners as capable adults who simply need a well-organised framework, clear language, and time to ask questions. Every aspect of the Ledgerwise approach reflects this intention, from curriculum structure to session size to the decision not to sell any financial products.
Our office at One George Street is a working space for small-group sessions and individual consultations. It is not a showroom. We chose our location because it places us at the centre of Singapore's professional and civic life — close to the people we most want to serve.
The three programmes currently offered by Ledgerwise were developed over a period of sustained curriculum work in collaboration with practising teachers, adult learning specialists, and financial planning professionals. Each was reviewed by participants before being finalised, and each is updated regularly to reflect changes in Singapore's financial landscape — CPF policy revisions, MediShield Life updates, and shifts in the broader insurance and investment environment.
We work with individuals, with families, and occasionally with workplace groups or community organisations that want to provide structured financial literacy as part of their broader offering. Our approach in all of these contexts remains the same: clear, organised, and free from commercial interest.

Kenneth Tan
Lead Facilitator — Insurance Planning

Quality Standards and Educational Protocols
Vendor-Neutral Delivery
No programme at Ledgerwise promotes or leads to the sale of financial products. All content is reviewed to ensure it remains educationally objective and commercially unattached.
Annual Curriculum Review
Every programme is reviewed at least annually against current MAS guidelines, CPF Board updates, and changes to the Singapore financial advisory landscape to ensure accuracy.
Small Cohort Sizes
Sessions are capped at manageable numbers to protect the quality of discussion, ensure individual questions receive attention, and maintain a respectful learning environment.
Data Privacy
Participant information is handled in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). No personal financial information shared in sessions is retained or shared with third parties.
Certified Facilitators
All facilitators hold relevant professional qualifications — including the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or equivalent — alongside demonstrated experience in adult or youth education.
Participant Feedback Integration
Each cohort completes a structured feedback process. Responses are reviewed, and meaningful patterns are used to refine session delivery and supporting materials between cohorts.
Financial Education in the Singapore Context
Singapore's financial landscape has a number of characteristics that make locally-grounded education particularly valuable. The CPF system underpins retirement planning in ways that differ substantially from systems in other countries. MediShield Life and Integrated Shield Plans create a layered insurance environment that requires careful navigation. And the availability of diverse investment instruments through local banks and platforms means that individuals encounter complex decisions from relatively early in their working lives.
Ledgerwise was built specifically to address these local dimensions. Rather than drawing on imported curricula or generic personal finance frameworks, our programmes are anchored in how Singapore's financial structures actually work — and how individuals can use them most thoughtfully over a lifetime.
This focus extends to the language we use, the examples we draw on, and the regulatory context we reference. Participants do not need to translate global concepts into local practice — the local practice is the starting point.
